Chicago is the city that boosts with the most number of breweries with 167 breweries, which is more than double the number in 2013 and the most of any other U.S. city. In 2013 the city of Chicago had 62 breweries and was the fifth among U.S. cities. While Seattle had the most with 87 and closely followed by Portland which had 77 breweries. The two other cities that were ahead of Chicago at the time were San Diego, with 76 breweries, and Denver, with 63.
