Haitian slaves were included in a series of severe exploitation, since the time of labor was exhausting and the punishments were intense and heavy. All factors were fueled by the spirit of revolution, which was driven by the French Revolution. In 1791, a negro named Toussaint Louverture was leader of the slave revolution of the history of the Americas, commanding a huge army.
