Given the equations f(x)= 4x+3 and g(x)=2x-1 find f-g

Answer: 2x+4

Subtract the equations like so

f - g = (4x+3) - (2x-1)

f - g = 4x+3 - 2x + 1 ... distribute the negative to all terms inside parenthesis

f - g = (4x-2x) + (3+1)

f - g= 2x + 4
