f(2) is a constant, fill in x=2 for 3x-1 and find that f(2) = 5

So you have to solve g(x) = 5, ie., 2x-3 = 5

So add 3 to both sides and simplify:

2x -3+3 = 5+3

2x = 8

x = 4
