6 - x/10 = -3
6 = -3 + x/10
9 = x/10
90 = x

Your first step is to multiply both sides by 10, giving you  6 - x = -30

Next, subtract 6, giving you  -x = -36

When simplifying equations, use PEMDAS. Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction.
