If 3b - 4 = 2, then 3b = 6, or b = 2. If b = 2, then 2a + 3(2) = 12 2a + 6 = 12 2a = 6 and then a = 3.

In order to find "a" you must find the value of "b". Here are the steps:

- 3b-4 = 2

- 3b = 6

- b = 2

Now use the value of "b" to find A!

- 2a + 3(2) = 12

- 2a = 6

- a =3

The answer is 3. Hope this helped :))
