We will use the followin property of logarithms:


[tex] log(a^b) = b log(a) [/tex]


So, we have


[tex] log(3^2) = 2 log(3) = 0.631 [/tex]


If you multiply both sides by 4, you get


[tex] 8log(3) = log(3^8) = 2.524 [/tex]
