Use rise over run to find the slope.

Rise over run uses the following formula:

[tex] \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}}[/tex]

Plug in the points' values into the equation:

(1,5) U (6,7)

[tex] \frac{7 - 5}{6 - 1} = \frac{2}{5}[/tex]

The slope of this line is 2/5.
