A cleaner recommends mixing 1 1/2 cup of cleaner for every 12 cups of water. What is the ratio of cleaner to water in simplest form?

The ratio of cleaner to water will be given by:
cleaner:water
1 1/2:12
simplifying the above we get:
3/2:12
multiplying both sides by 2 we get:
2×3/2:12×2
3:24
hence the answer is 3:24
